Job Summary

We are looking for a highly senior, client-facing Digital Strategist (10+ years’ experience) to join our agency leadership team. This role requires deep expertise across SEO, PPC, CRM, and Web Development with the ability to design and lead integrated digital strategies for clients from  start-up, to enterprise-level.

The Senior Digital Strategist will be the strategic partner to our clients, guiding them through digital transformation, performance marketing, and customer experience optimisation. You will also mentor internal teams, lead multi-disciplinary collaboration, and be the authority on best-in-class digital practices within the agency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Client Leadership

  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor to clients, building long-term partnerships and acting as their trusted expert.
  • Translate client business goals into integrated digital strategies that drive measurable ROI.
  • Lead client workshops, strategic presentations, and executive-level meetings.
  • Manage client expectations, communicate progress, and address challenges proactively.

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop multi-channel strategies across SEO, paid media, CRM, and web development that deliver on business objectives.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to uncover insights and opportunities.
  • Oversee strategic roadmaps for digital transformation (e.g. CRM integration, site migrations, martech adoption).

SEO & Content Strategy

  • Lead enterprise-level SEO: technical audits, content strategy, backlink profile management, international SEO.
  • Ensure best practices for site launches, redesigns, and migrations.
  • Advise clients on content ecosystems that support organic growth and authority.

PPC & Paid Media

  • Own paid media strategy and planning across Google Ads, Bing, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and programmatic platforms.
  • Drive budget allocation and optimisation to maximise client ROI.
  • Lead testing frameworks (A/B, multivariate) for campaign creative, bidding, and audience targeting.

CRM & Customer Journeys

  • Define customer lifecycle strategies: acquisition, onboarding, retention, upsell, win-back.
  • Lead CRM system strategy and integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, etc.).
  • Build and optimise automated nurture flows, segmentation, and personalisation strategies.

Web & Development Oversight

  • Work with dev teams to ensure technical excellence in client websites and platforms.
  • Oversee CMS strategy, site architecture, integrations, and analytics implementation.
  • Safeguard SEO and UX performance during redesigns or rebuilds.

Data & Performance

  • Define KPIs with clients; track and report performance across channels.
  • Use analytics platforms (GA4, Adobe, Looker Studio, etc.) to produce insights and recommendations.
  • Lead attribution modelling and data-driven decision making.

Agency Leadership

  • Mentor and develop internal SEO, PPC, CRM, and digital specialists.
  • Collaborate with client service, creative, dev, and media teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Contribute to new business development and pitch strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in digital marketing / strategy with agency experience essential.
  • Proven track record of leading client relationships at senior / executive level.
  • Deep expertise in:
    • SEO (technical, content, international, enterprise).
    • PPC (large budgets, multi-platform).
    • CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or similar).
    • Web Development oversight (CMS platforms, migrations, integrations, UX/SEO alignment).
  • Advanced analytics skills (GA4, Tag Manager, Adobe, Data Studio, etc.).
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie digital strategy directly to business growth outcomes (ROI, revenue, LTV, CAC).
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Certifications (Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
